It's just an issue of time until the service is back up and running. EA has a bad reputation with gamers, however EA FC 24 Coins  is known to be reliable in its products, and it shouldn't take long before the services are in full-speed.

Marsden claims that this is due to the promotional agreement that Mallorca as well as Barcelona are part of together with Konami along with Pro Evolution Soccer. This arrangement permits Konami to utilize the teams as well as the player appearances to advertise PES even though they are able to feature in FIFA.

The deals aren't unusual- FC 24 had former Real Madrid player Cristiano Ronaldo featured on its cover and PES has featured Barcelona star Lionel Messi on the front. However, what is unique is the fact that both teams weren't able to participate at the charity event due to the Konami agreement.

Konami has claimed they "did not approach the teams to request for their withdrawal from the tournaments" however some are questioning what the reason was for it not being able to contact the teams about a break from the terms of the contract, even for the duration of the weekend. With Covid-19 now officially declared a global pandemic which has seen many gaming companies trying to raise funds, Konami would likely have been seen as a business helping to fight.

What's happening is that Konami has come under criticism for not stepping into. A lot of gamers are now calling the issue of Konami's treatment of Hideo Kojima who was unable be awarded an award during The Game Awards 2024 after an ugly split with Konami. The blame could lie with Barcelona and Mallorca's associations, because they were the ones who prevented their players from participating at the event, however the situation is now causing damage to Konami's image.

While the coronavirus is continuing expand across the globe, EA has announced that it will postpone or cancelling several forthcoming competitive events, including events like the Apex Legends Global Series and the EA SPORTS FIFA 24 Coins Global Series.
